Roman Eagle Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization providing both short and long-term care skilled nursing care, and rehabilitative services.

With 312 beds, Roman Eagle is one of largest long-term care facilities in the Commonwealth of Virginia and contributes in excess of 21 million dollars annually primarily to the Danville-Pittsylvania County economy. The facility is dually certified for payment through Medicare and Medicaid.

In October 2017 the first phase of the Center for Rehab & Wellness, a state-of-the art 54,000 square feet facility opened, with the second phase scheduled to open mid-2018.  The Center for Rehab & Wellness will consist of 50 private rooms and features the latest therapy and exercise equipment, an aquatic therapy pool, cafe and hair salon.  Roman Eagle's licensed capacity of 312 beds will remain the same.  The lower level will feature a Wellness Center which will offer exercise and wellness programs for seniors and Roman Eagle's employees.
